Week 103 Day 1: Six Seals Opened ⇧ ⇩
Question
What was it like when the lamb opened the first six seals?
Scripture Reading
Meditation: God’s Story
-
The Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. John saw a white horse. Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown.
-
When the Lamb opened the second seal, another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth.
-
When the Lamb opened the third seal, there was a black horse. Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
-
When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, there was a pale horse. Its rider was named Death.
-
When he opened the fifth seal, under the altar were the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out for justice and avenge.
-
As he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth.
-
Those on earth, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They try to hide from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
Meditation: My Story
- Identity - The souls of the martyred were given white robes and comforted. We might have to endure sufferings and persecutions while serving Him, but God Himself would comfort us. How does this truth encourage me?

Week 103 Day 2: The Seventh Seal ⇧ ⇩
Question
What happened before the seventh seal was opened?
Scripture Reading
Meditation: God’s Story
-
Another angel has the seal of the living God.
-
The number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.
-
A great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
-
These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
-
When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
-
Seven angels stood before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
-
Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar.
Meditation: My Story
- Identity - The Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. What comforting do I need and where am I seeking it? Why don’t I seek comfort in Jesus Christ?

Week 103 Day 3: Sounding Six Trumpets ⇧ ⇩
Question
What disasters came when angels sounded the six trumpets?
Scripture Reading
Meditation: God’s Story
-
The seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
-
The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth.
-
The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea.
-
The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
-
The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.
-
The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.
-
Out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.
-
The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God.
Meditation: My Story
- Identity - When the angels were destroying mankind, they did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood - idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Whom do I worship? How do I know it’s the true God I worship?

Week 103 Day 4: The Seventh Trumpet ⇧ ⇩
Question
What happened before the seventh trumpet sounded?
Scripture Reading
Meditation: God’s Story
-
Another angel came down from heaven holding a little scroll. Seven thunders spoke, ordered John not to write it down.
-
God told John to eat the scroll. It would turn his stomach sour but as sweet as honey in his mouth.
-
John was given a reed like a measuring rod to measure the temple of God and the altar with its worshipers.
-
Two witnesses clothed in sackcloth would prophesy for 1,260 days. They would be killed, then after three and a half days, the life from God would enter them.
-
The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
Meditation: My Story
- Identity - When the two prophets were killed, the inhabitants of the earth would celebrate and send gift to each other because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. How do I view pain and joy? Does God give me pain or true joy?

Week 103 Day 5: War against Evil ⇧ ⇩
Question
What happened after the seventh trumpet sounded?
Scripture Reading
Meditation: God’s Story
-
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
-
Another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.
-
The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.
-
War broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
-
The great dragon was hurled down and he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
-
The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, out of the serpent’s reach.
-
Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring.
Meditation: My Story
- Integrity - In John’s vision, the evil dragon fought against those who obeyed God’s command and testified for Jesus. The war we are fighting nowadays is a spiritual one, not just in flesh and blood. How may I fight in such a war?

Week 103 Day 6: God's Name Slandered ⇧ ⇩
Foreword
We will soon complete the reading of the last Book in Bible, the Book of Revelation. God’s sovereignty is fully displayed through opening the seals. God is behind all seemingly incidental events in history. God’s word is true and alive and above our own will. In the ever-flowing river of time, eternal peace is found by following God. We need to rely on God to face challenges of times as He has full control of history. In fact, there’s nothing God does not control and only by obeying His commands may we live out our lives meaningfully.
May you all be renewed in God’s word each day!
Question
How did the beast mislead the people?
Scripture Reading
Meditation: God’s Story
-
John saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads. The whole world followed the beast and worshiped the dragon.
-
The beast slandered God’s name and waged war against God’s holy people to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.
-
A second beast came out of the earth, exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast.
-
It forced all people to receive a mark.
Meditation: My Story
- Identity - If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people. This verse places God’s righteousness above His promise. How does it encourage me to be patient?
